Smoked Candied Pecans

Smoked Candied Pecans

Having a smoker makes an infinite amount of possibilities when it comes to cooking. I mixed together a few ingredients to make a super simple, yet super tasty, smoked candied pecans.

With just a few key ingredients and some added spices, you will be able to make these goodies in a short amount of time.

I highly recommend grinding the cinnamon and the cloves for a more robust taste. This grinder works very well and is easy to clean.

Smoked Candied Pecans

Why should you make these smoked candied pecans?

  • Versatility – These smoked candied pecans are not only great by themselves, but they can be used to enhance a dish like a sweet potato soufflé. I also recommend jarring them and giving as a sweet Christmas present, no pun intended.
  • Fast and Easy – There is no prep needed. Mix together the ingredients, throw on a baking sheet, and smoke!

Cooking Tips

  • Stir frequently. – To avoid burning and having the pecans stick together.
  • The longer you cook, the better. – The long that you let them cook, the darker and harder the candy shell will get and the more smoky flavor they will absorb which equals greatness!
  • Let the smoked candy pecans chill completely – If you do not let them chill completely before storing, they will stick together and turn chewy from the moisture. Just give it a little time before putting them away!
